I got my first restaurant job back in June and it's the first serving job I've had. I had a table today that I joked with "I'll leave you two alone" and "I don't like annoying my tables." After I dropped off the check the man at the table told me I wasn't annoying and to keep doing what I was doing.
It made me smile and think about other times where I felt I was being annoying but the other party probably didn't even think it.
This job has some weird cash flow and definite ups and downs, but that comment and a joke from my last table made my night.
A particularly grumpy guest was seated adjacent to the two gentlemen I was waiting on. We had a delay with salads getting made and the grumpy guy was asking his server in a huff where it was. My guests were amused and the one told him, "If you want a salad that bad, you could go outside and eat the grass"
It's probably not as funny without hearing this guy say it with the sass and side eye but I enjoyed it

I was a waiter at a club in Rapid City. I loved it when Sturgis was going on because I would get huge tips. I had one table of drunk biker chicks keep joking about wishing they had more "bones" with their meal. I said I could bring them a bone right now if they promised to tip me well. I went to the back room, put my dick on a plate and covered it with a napkin and went back out to their table. One of the women pulled off the napkin and let out a huge hoot and started squeezing my dick to see how hard I would get then my boss came out and fired me on the spot and told me to get out. The ladies gave me a $100 tip and one of them blew me out back of the restaurant and told me what hotel they were staying in.
I spent the week as the fuck boy for these 6 lonely women and walked away with $1500. That was more than I ever made in a week and I took the money and moved to LA.
