When will my brain stop feeling like a teenager's brain?

I'm only one year into my twenties, but I can't help but wonder how long it's going to take for my emotions to calm down. I'm tired of the constant nerves, the moping when I don't get my way. Of course, no one but my boyfriend actually perceives that my emotions are running so high, but I'd rather not have to work so hard at hiding them. I don't want to put so much time and attention into being an emotionally mature adult, I just want to be one! My job would be so much less stressful if I didn't have to concentrate on keeping my feelings in check all day.
I do go to counseling and I have great friends and family, it's just that my thoughts and feelings still feel similar to my sixteen-year-old self's thoughts and feelings. Anyone else in this boat? How long does it take for the brain to stop acting like a teenager?

When you come to the realization that it is you that needs to create your world. All the others simply doesn't matter. :)
