Took mouthguard back to dentist for adjustments, when I got it back it fit better but now it's giving me an allergic reaction.
I know how it sounds, bear with me.
She runs the practice. The first visit with her was the molding.
The second visit was picking it up. During this visit she flirted with me, either genuinely or to shame me a bit (hard to explain how it could have been to shame me). Either way, my answers to her questions while she was "flirting" clearly disappoint her.
I had to go back for a third visit because after that first sleep with it, the mouthguard felt a little too tight. I didn't see a problem with going back even though I had been told she would be the one doing the adjustment, because I didn't feel like anything was wrong, rejection/love disappointment happens, whatever, we're adults and I needed her to fix the guard, patient/doctor. When I showed up for my appt she was very late (even the lower-ranking staff were vocal about wondering about where she was), then when she was working with it, I remember feeling something was off but I was really tired and just thought I might have been sick or something.
Anyway when I popped it in it fit really well, so she said give that a try and see if it's better to sleep with. When I slept with it that night, I woke up feeling really sick and my mouth was numb. I thought I was just sick from something else - again the day previous "feeling something was off" = "I'm just sick nothing is actually wrong", so I was like I'm recovering from something give it a couple days, did not at all link it to the mouthguard, and why would I think my mouthguard was making me sick when it wasn't making me sick previously? Anyway after a couple days of feeling sicker and sicker I decided to spend one night without my mouthguard in case I threw up in my sleep, or woke up to throw up (since it would remove the step of "remove mouthguard quickly, potentially doing damage to teeth to safely vomit).
When I woke up the next day I felt a lot better. When I went to bed that night, I wore the mouthguard again. I woke up feeling sick.
Click.
Stopped wearing mouthguard, felt better.
