This is gonna sound REALLY sexist/unsupportive(?), but it really pissed me off when that one woman at the emmys last night said “I don’t believe in god, but I’ll be thanking her tonight”

Like maybe I’m just fucked up, I’m not against people believing what they believe, but why? What difference does it make if god is a woman or man? Why does god even need a gender if *it* is some omnipotent being? I understand if you think I’m some huge asshole or something but this make me mad for like no reason(and again, no hate to you for what or who you believe in, I just don’t understand why god would need to be a woman)

Conversely, why does god need to be a man? Why doesn't it annoy you just as much when people refer to go as 'he?' (Which they do way more often)
