Trying to make a left out of the parking lot this evening (last minute/desperate run to the grocery store) and the gentleman in the island wasn’t even holding up his sign, he was just shivering in the cold, Luckily I missed the light, and the gentleman gratefully accepted the bananas I offered him. Right when he opened the first banana, the woman in the passenger seat of the car next to me ran out and handed the gentleman some bread and ran back and then a ~10-year old girl ran out of the car behind me and handed him a bag of something else and ran back to the backseat of her car.

I heard his appreciation and blessings as I drove away, and when I looked back he was looking down and eating. Everyone deserves a full belly on a chilly night. Thank you San Francisco, I love you all.
