There are so many people around the world that would love a plain boring 9-5 job, a nice little apartment and a fairly safe mediocre life like the kind we take for granted in the western world. This kind of life is a blessing in my eyes but I see so many people who take it for granted and who have nothing but complaints about their "meaningless" boring life. Everyone wants to be some sort of creative or star and I just think at some point you have to be grateful to be a regular ass person. I am not by any means saying that a person shouldn't try to achieve their dreams, but look at life in the context of the greater situation of humanity where many people have no access to clean water, who live in trash filled slums, who have to work 24/7 to survive.

I really feel like there is a lot of joy to be found in monotony and in a lifestyle that allows a person to be comfortable and have free time on the weekends. Happiness does not need to be wholeheartedly dependent on external conditions or having the perfect job and I think people need to learn how to appreciate and find meaning in the literal miracle that is daily life on earth.
