Back story I am 16 and have 4 other siblings, my sister who is the oldest, is a senior and college, her friend is a senior in college. Her friend has been house hopping since she was in 7th grade because her mom passed and her dad is mentally ill, her cousins just recently kicked her out..


Let’s say you are a shy 16 year old and you enjoy life at home as it is, and then your older sister and mom decide to bring in a friend without even telling you or your other siblings, they just made that life changing decision in 10 minutes, emotions over logic, and then this girl moves in..

You know when you were younger and your siblings or parents friends came over and you felt awkward because you can’t do the stuff you do anymore, I can’t articulate it but it feels different having other people at your house, you can’t chill.

Now since this girl moves in, you feel uncomfortable and trapped in your own room, you don’t go down to hangout with your family because the girl is there and you are shy and upset.

You can’t freely be yourself anymore you put on this facade, and so does the rest of your family.

How would you feel? This girl isn’t a family friend shit she’s just my sisters friend from freshman year not even best friend, she has other friends too and even a boyfriend. Why can’t she live there? I hate how my parents put all the burden on themselves and put emotions over logic and family. And when she and my sister graduates, are my parents going to pay for her college? We don’t have a lot of money so they would basically pay for her college instead of mine (because I’m the second oldest) so they are prioritizing her
