So my parents went to an evening stroll and found this young adult australian magpie, he was on a parking lot of a gas station and wouldn't move even when cars were driving by. So they picked him up and brought him home.

I did some research and made some calls to emergency vets, but it was already 9pm and they told me to bring it to a nearby shelter tomorrow. I also research on what their diet consist and they do eat other birds eggs so I give him a bit of eggyolk feed with a syringe.

later the evening he became more and more weak and died around 11.30pm.

I best guess is that I fed him badly. Maybe the young for eggs. maybe wrong diet in general. or just too much for his tiny stomach.

Anyway we are all sad and I think it's on me.
