It’s been slowly receding for the past 3 years or so. I’m only 17, 18 in a few months. I’m pretty sure it’s starting to thin on the top (near the back). And my mother can’t accept it.

She swears it’s the chlorine, which to be fair, it’s what the woman who cuts my hair says. I don’t doubt the constant swimming has contributed. For God’s sake I swim 2 hours for 6 days a week.

My Dad’s hairline receded, so did my Papa’s hair (Mom’s side), Granddaddy’s hair is thinning, and 2 of my uncles went bald around my current age. But I can’t say this to my Mom, all anyone gets is a dirty look.

I know I’ll look like my Dad, and he was horrible to my mom, and the rest of us. But god dammit, it sucks she can’t accept it and fights it, while I’m accepting it.
