My friend made a ‘joke’ about straight white men having no hardship. I proceeded to let her know that my father who was white committed suicide. I now am not sure if I want to continue our friendship despite her being my only friend.

So my friend casually made a comment about straight white men having no hardship. For context I’m a 19 year old mixed race girl (mother is black & father was white) and I did not proceed to laugh at all or agree with her, in fact I probably looked at her with disgust when she came out with this. She asked me if I didn’t agree and responded with ‘no not at all’ and asked her to explain what she meant (I suppose to see if she was maybe joking). Instead she just doubled down going on about white/straight privilege and how this means straight white men have absolutely no hardship in life.
She was not aware at all that my father committed suicide as this is something I don’t like to share or talk about and in fact I’m not sure if she even realised I’m mixed race (or maybe she thought my mom was white). After hearing her try to explain her thoughts I proceeded to tell her my father who was white committed suicide and her face completely changed. Once she heard me say this she started insisting she was only joking despite literally doubling down for like a minute straight after I questioned her originally.
I am now not sure if I want to continue my friendship with her but she is literally my only friend. I’m at university far away from home and because I’m shy and introverted she is literally the only friend I have. I will have no friends or social life if I stop talking to her but the way she clearly thinks disgusts me.

She's right, and you are missing the point.
In general, white straight men hold the power in most countries where they are at least a large minority.
Their pathway to education, and wealth, or just economic stability is MUCH MUCH easier than for nonstraight, or nonwhite, or nonstraight nonwhite men and women.
That some of them have mental difficulties or illnesses does does not disprove the point.
Exceptional nonstraight nonwhite non-men have exceptional lives, but the gross majority of them have lives that are less than their potential while straight white men have lives that consistently equal or surpass their potential.

BIPOC have both personal and automatic systemic issues. White people can have mental, physical and social issues, but they're in a better position. If a nazi had to choose between a white person with downs syndrome, whose overall not their ideal ayran person, or a Mexican person, to push off a boat with too much weight, they're going to pick the "damaged" white person to survive. But make no mistake, that person's usefulness runs out once they reach shore.
The marginalized identities, and class struggle, we share should unite us, but so much pain is amplified. Your friend need you, in a better state of mind than her, to learn this stuff. You can walk away, she cannot. If she's truly awful, walk away, but if she appreciates your effort, stay.

Not sure how it ended but I personally would give another chance to a friend like that, explaining how the "straight white male privilege" is absolutely racist bollocks with only purpose to shift the opinion of masses to vote for democratic parties that have superficial agenda to fight against "white male privilege" cuz they have nothing else to sell to the masses.
As for some antiwhite racist comments here claiming that white male privilege is real - to all you racists, it's just as real as black privilege in Africa, asian privilege in Asia, hispanic privilege in South America.

Straight white men have it hardest right now because everything is thier fault according to media, they don't get grants or loans like minorities do, they don't get free stuff like mental health checks, discounted health insurance, or EBT and other hand outs. White men work hard and that's why over generations they were able to leave something behind for thier legacy- business, fortune, etc- and now the world is mad because thier POC ancestors were lazy.
