So the short of it is my friend was looking for a job recently and my office was hiring (I’m in Insurance) and they’re pretty hard up for people as there was just a company merger and our book of business is HUGE now.

So I unthinkingly told my friend my company was doing walk in interviews so she came in and got the job.

I’m so happy for her, really I am, I love her and she deserves the best, but I just realized today—she has no education except high school.
I have a BA I’m not even close to paying off and she’s about to work the same job for the same pay, free and clear.

I just don’t know how I’m feeling....I owe $30,000 and she owes nothing and we’re doing the same thing. Was my education even worth it at this point?

Like man.....I guess I’m just looking for some words of encouragement or support. If you have anything to say like “sorry dude,” or “you really fucked up there,” no need to say it. I’m already feeling that way, so although I always want honest feedback, if you have something to say like that could you coat it with a little sweetness.
