I think you have it wrong. call them something else. they are not hunters. real hunters don't hunt endangered species

Well, see, here's the problem. There are countries out there where you can legally hunt what other countries would consider an endangered species. There are also many species out there you might not consider a viable harvest for a hunter, but they are legal (who needs a fucking mountain goat?)
