to begin with, here’s some pinpoints as a backstory:
•i am a minor
•i earned my money after i did this test thing and did really good
•the money: 300$ total, gift from my aunts
•my dad’s gift was a new phone
•i do the test thing, earn the money, the phone, then loose the money, all in 2018

so i do the test thing, ace it, my dad promised to get me a phone and he does, my aunts all give me a total of 300$ and life is good

dad tells me he needs the money and will give it back later. i do as he says, and i keep reminding him of the money till a month-ish ago

a month ago i go nuts. i start crying and yelling that i want the money back. he was surprised at me yelling and crying, because i was chilling the whole day and i suddenly go nuts. he thinks i need the money to spend it all at once, although i told him i won’t.

i ask my mom if he’ll ever give me the money back, she tells me ‘maybe not, or maybe not so soon’ because we’re going through a financial crisis.

but this ‘financial crisis’ is never ending. i’ve been hearing this term every time i ask about the money since last year.

i’m sure he knows the money is mine, but he’s telling me that the money is his and that he bought me the phone with it. makes no sense, i know.

i don’t know what to do either. should i just give up on the money? i’m thinking of asking him to get me something, go somewhere, etc, and if he says its expensive or whatever, i’ll say “i’ll spend my 300$ that you have saved for me”
