My cat suffers from epilepsy and has been taking medication for it for a year now. However sometimes he still has short epileptic episodes in his sleep, which make me feel like even with all the vet visits and medication in the world, there's nothing I can do to help him be safe.

Today he fell asleep on my lap and seemed to be dreaming initially. When I wanted to get up, i tried to wake him up but he wouldn't budge. I thought he was just a bit sleepy and tired but when I picked him up and moved him away from my lap to the other side of of the couch he didn't even respond. There was no movement, no breath. It was like I was moving a ragdoll. I kept trying to wake him. No response. I never saw an animal behave like this in his sleep.
Then he finally snapped out of it.

I started crying afterwards.

I was really scared of losing him, and I still am.
