We went to my long time friends birthday party the other day and I felt it was a good time to meet all my friends properly. He has met birthday girl before but this time we all had the chance to socialise and chat.

When we got home he said to me "why doesnt birthday girl have a boyfriend?" I explained shes had bad experiences with men where he then said "I think she needs a boyfriend like me to dote on her".

I jokingly said "why dont you date her then" and he said shes seems high maintenance but I cried that night because of how much it bothered me. I'm convinced he has a crush on her now and I've cried about it every night. I feel like I'm being ridiculous but it hurt me. I dont think he meant anything by it but maybe because I'm 12 weeks pregnant my hormones are out if wack ha.

Tldr: my boyfriend said my friend needs a boyfriend like him - now I think hes likes her more than me.
