Moved to a new city - struggling
I (30, f)recently moved away from my previous apartment of four years to somewhere 2 hours away. I lost my job, found the “dream job” and had to move in order to get hired. I decided to accept the offer and move away from my city which I HATED when I first moved there and it slowly became home, complete with a great apartment, amazing neighbors, and some friends I’ve known forever moved there. I go back to my old place one last time to pack the remaining stuff, clean my old place, and start new again in a new city. I’m really struggling to accept the move. I love my new apartment and job, but I miss my friends and being closer to family vs now (adds an extra hour to my already 3ish hour drive to my parents). Being 30, working basically on my own, and not a huge going out person, I’m very nervous that I won’t make friends or be able to cope with this new move.
I’m already terrible with change, so this has been really hard on me. I’ve tried not to bother friends or family with how I’m feeling about everything cause I don’t want to burden them with my issues, so here I am.
TL;DR: I moved, I’m sad about moving and not sure how to adjust.
