Med student lying about medicines to his girlfriend.
My girlfriend has a lot of panic attacks at random moments due to a problematic youth. Whenever she has one she takes drops of some kind of extract called Bach flower remedies. I found it kind of sketchy, so I did some research. Apparently it's a placebo. But my gf says it really works for her and she asked me what I found about it. Now here comes the confession. I said it is a real drug. I only said it because drugs are effective when they serve their purpose and the placebo is serving his purpose. By lying she still believes that it is a real drug and that causes her to feel beter when she takes it. I'm struggling with the fact that I lied to her although it served a bigger purpose.
