Me and my 2 friends (for this post let’s call them Tina and Katie) we were eating our lunch outside and waiting for our other friends to join us (little did we know they had to meet up with a teacher all lunch so they wouldn’t come) and two boys come and sit down right next to us invading some serious personal space especially since we’re not close we’re acquaintances and have lessons together that’s it. They start teasing Katie and talking to her, Katie is a very shy person and everyone knows this she won’t talk to you unless you’re close with her and gets embarrassed easily. After seeing this and knowing what they boys were like I decided to get up and move to go and meet our friends, Katie and Tina quickly followed.

We’re all suffering from anxiety and all have had troubling pasts especially Katie, her mother died over the summer and with her dad having walked out on her she is now an orphan living with her grandparents. I have the worst anxiety but put up with the least amount of shit I protect my friends since they find it hard to stand up for themselves and they rely on me for that. All my friend group consists of ‘smart’ people who keep to ourselves not because all of us are introverted but we’d rather not talk to people at our school. We’re all 14 and have pretty bad anxiety and it’s pretty obvious to see that some of us do and not the rest Katie being one of the people it’s blatantly obvious.

So we wait for our friends but no one shows up and about 5 minutes pass everyone is back from lessons and we don’t know where they are. Tina says to go back and eat lunch since everyone is out of lessons and the boys will be with their friends and won’t bother with us and if they do just to stay there since they want a reaction and just won’t give one. Boy was she wrong!

We go back and have the best if 2 minutes peace before one boy comes back let’s call him Jeff. Jeff is nice as far as I’m concerned but we’re not close at all and he rudely invited himself over and sits right beside Tina who is clearly uncomfortable all ready.
