Me and my bf are in a relationship since 2012 and have our 7th anniversary tomorrow! But we hit a super rough patch these past few months and were contemplating breaking up.

We were "separated", had very low contact and were giving each other space to figure stuff out. I was missing him so I was going through all of his pictures. I found one's from 2 years ago of him cooking something he'd learnt in Nepal. He loves to cook and is great at it.

I can still remember that day vividly because it the next day was the worst day. We were at his house and his dad was home. Three of us were joking around, laughing and basically waiting for BF to finish cooking because it smelled amazing. After eating the first morsel his dad said that he wouldn't regret it if this was his last meal and that he was proud that BF is such a great cook.

It was BF's dad's last meal.... He had an heart attack that night and passed away in BF's arms.

In those pictures of BF, you could see his dad in the background- smiling, laughing, having a weird look on his face etc.

That had me thinking that I would want my last everything to be with BF. I love him, I've always loved him.

I showed those pictures to BF and he couldn't stop crying. We had completely forgotten I even had those pictures. I also told him that I didn't want to break up and that if he too wants the same, I'd like to patch up.
