My ex best friend and I were friends for going on 12 years when I decided I had enough of her and cut her from my life. We met when i was 10, she was 11. Her brother and my sister are married so it was almost a forced friendship that from day 1 she was more into than i was. She was always way too clingy, didn't understand boundaries, wouldn't take no for an answer, and the entire friendship became so one sided all it was was her complaining to me about how crappy her family is and how every guy that didn't like her back was an asshole.

My dad and stepmom live near Chico so they're dealing with the fires and smoke and everything. They were fine but it looks like the fire is gonna make it to them so they're probably going to evacuate. There aren't many places for them to go so they might have to be staying with my ex best friend and her family. As soon as I heard this I got extremely uncomfortable.

For a long while she had never met my dad and was obsessed with the idea of meeting him and getting to know him. She's also said some crazy things, some of which I feel I should've reported to someone. I genuinely worry that she's either gonna use my dad to lure me back into her life even if it's just for a few days, even a week, or that she's gonna use me being what she calls a terrible friend as a reason for her parents to not treat my dad and stepmom very well.

She's already told them a whole bunch of crap about me, half of which are complete lies, so they already hate me. And they are 100% the type of people to take the anger they have for me out on someone I'm close with...
