I’m a uni student and every job I’ve had is through connections with people and so I’ve never had to do a job interview. So now I fear that I will never be able to get a job after I graduate since I don’t know any connections in my field.

Duh...look into taking some training courses or classes that teach job interviewing skills, resume building, mock interviews, etc. Its called responsibility. You should take some for yourself.
