Got married to the love of my life at 24. We didn’t want kids at all so we spent the next 9 years doing things we were passionate about. We are in our mid-30s now and my husband changed his mind 2 years ago. We have been trying to get pregnant for the last 2 years. I discovered I had severe endometriosis that no doctor had ever diagnosed. Had to have a surgery but my tubes are bust. We are considering ivf. He is rock solid and helps me sort my emotions. I am considering therapy.

Considering how loving and strong our relationship is year by year, we would have benefitted from having that one child early on. I underestimated how much strength goes down as we age. I regret the last decade of my life. Our friends have kids in elementary school and they can’t relate to us. They end up hanging out together. By the time my kids are in elementary, they will be prepping for high school graduation.

I don’t know how to make myself feel better.
