It's small but it's growing every day.
By tipping you are only helping big corporations. You are paying the employee out of your own pocket, in addition to what you already paid to them (menu prices already include enough to cover labor, overhead costs **and** make profit). Corporations can mark up for even more profit, not worrying about paying the employee more, since they know you will.
In fact, the tipping practice started out during the great depression to help restaurants stay afloat. Everyone chimed in to pay the employees a little, so they wouldn’t quit.
Now it’s just pure greed. Tipping screws everyone **except** big corporations.
Also, servers are not entitled to tips. If they are unhappy with there wage, they are free to change jobs or at least negotiate with there bosses, but they are not entitled to free charity. Tipping is unAmerican. If you want free shit move to fucking Europe.
*I am a non-tipper and I am not ashamed*

Tipping is the gayest thing. Just defined a specific amount and I'll pay it. Don't set me to judge how much for you to then look at me in a bitter way. Screw that. We are not friends. A monetary transaction should be set with perfectly defined limits.
