I sleep with my contact lenses in every night and rarely take them out

Yes, you are damaging your eyes in multiple ways. The lenses need to be cleaned frequently as abrasive particles get between the lens and your eye, where abrasive damage can occur, along with infection. People have lost eyes over this type thing. Secondly, your cornea needs oxygen to be healthy. Soft contact lenses are typically "gas permeable" meaning they breath to some extent, but your eye still gets less oxygen. A daily period with them removed allows the eye's health to be better as the eye can get more oxygen then. Lastly, extended wear often results in tiny cuts in the cornea around the rim of the lense. These cause a build-up of scar tissue over time, along with discomfort. Eventually, an examiner will tell you "you're going to have to stop wearing contact lenses, or you will risk losing your eyesight." What you're doing is stupid - it WILL make you very sorry one day if you don't stop.
