So my crush is a really nice girl and I’ve liked her for a long time. We are both really good friends and share the same group of friends so we spend a lot of time together

Today we were hanging out at my friends house and we were playing mario cart on the switch when she suggested we do forfeits for the loser.

I’m stupid and said it was a good idea even though I thought otherwise and so did my other friend- I like to gamble so adding stakes always makes things interesting.

Long story short, she lost. Me and the other friend needed to come up with a forfeit. We cane up empty handed and just went with the classic “so who do like?”

I don’t know why I agreed because she then told us that she had a crush on one of my best friends who is also in the group.

My heart sank. I guess in the moment I was just stupidly hoping she would say my name and it would be that simple but obviously I was mistaken.

We played another round of mario cart and I purposely threw the game so they would ask me the same question as I thought it could either further me and my crush’s relationship or it would make tomorrow awkward (we are planning on meeting tomorrow)

Needless to say I chickened out and only whispered it to my other friend who was with us. He just sorta said sport and that was that.

It sucks now though because I can’t help looking at my crush’s crush with crazy jealousy and I think that I’m going to always have the thought in the back of my mind that she likes him.

Tl;dr- my crush likes one of my best friends and now I’m super jealous and can’t help thinking about him differently
