I am so shocked. I’m finally accepted into Cornell University. I never thought I’d make it to an Ivy. Since freshman year of high school I have worked my ass off in and out of the classroom, even going to Cornell during the summers of the past to meet with professors and admissions counselors so often to where they know me on a first name basis. Everyone told me to aim lower but I really reached for this and I fucking made it. Considering that I am from a really small town in Upstate New York where no one moves farther than an hour away and almost always goes to a Community College I am astounded. This feels great especially as a half Native American boy off of the reservation I can proudly say I made it out of the little dead end town that consumes everyone in it. This is truly a miracle.
