So for some reason when I was growing up we had two cages with male and female gerbils because if they're together, they'll mate like crazy. I remember my mom specifically saying to not ever mix them up because mother gerbils can eat their babies.

So of course me being the dumbass I am switched a male and a female right before we left for a week long vacation. Our house sitter called us a couple days later saying \*suprise surprise\* there were at least 10 babies in the cage now and the mothers were starting to eat them and she didn't know what to do.

I have never told my mom to this day. I kind of thought it was funny. Now I am regretful.
