I'm 32, and trying to get to know my father. I know he's trying. He answers my messages, and wants to help. But it's kinda awkward because we should know each other better and don't.
Last night my 12 year old boys broke a twin bed. Not from doing anything super bad right then. But they've had that bunkbed for 6 years it was bound to go bad. I sent a picture to my dad and asked for his advice since I know he does handiwork things like that all the time.
He called me and talked me through what I would need to do. And he sounded natural about it like he wasn't trying to think of how to phrase it for a child he was just talking a lot which is different for him, he's a very quiet man.
Felt so good.
Now I'm trying to put together this bunkbed. Wish me luck
