I am a fitness trainer and I used to tell my friends that I’m extremely busy during the week and they should call me on weekend, to write fitness plans for them, because I know they’ll never call back and I won’t waste my time.

I am a fitness trainer.
Whenever my friends have called me during week days asking for a fitness plan, I told them that I am very busy and they should call me and discuss that on weekend (they want it for free ofcourse.. friends you know).
5 years in fitness taught me some patterns and I can feel when the person is serious about his future plans or just around..
So yeah I was telling them to call me on weekends because I knew that they will most likely forget about it in few days, so I don’t waste my time writing plans that will never be used for free for my friends.
P.S. haven’t made plans for friends for more than 2 years now, guess it’s working.

Why do they think a plan will help them? that's just a small part of it.
The main thing is following through and doing it correctly.

I write resumes, both for a living and friends that need one and actually follow up after I say I'll do it. Have had sooo many that say, I'll email you my info or old resume and you can do it for me, or, we'll go for lunch and do it, etc. I can bank on probably 80% of them never following up, or if we do meet up, it's purely social and fun, which is fine, and the resume is forgotten about. One younger, just model gorgeous, high cheekboned, perfect, sexy smiled female friend has done it twice. Meet up with her at Panera or somewhere, it's fun, she's sexy, flirty, I play along, we talk, laugh, and it's fun. Not saying I don't enjoy it or her, she's amazing. Yet, both times, the resume never happened or came up. Most others just never follow up. I don't care anymore. You either want my help or you don't.
