For an uncomfortably long time I thought Philly cheesesteak was called that because Philadelphia brand cream cheese was put on shredded steak sandwiches. I’ve lived my last 20 years hating them.
I’ve had a few over the years made like this. A couple when I was younger then made it a couple times on my own. I hated it and thought cream cheese was the worst thing In the world to put a on a steak sandwich. I still haven’t had a real philly, but I’m excited to try it next time I go to a restaurant.
