Every once in a while I google people I know, just to see what turns up. It's not something I'm proud of but it is what it is. The other day I found out that a girl I grew up with was arrested for armed robbery, she held up gas stations and convenience stores for money to by crack. We weren't friends or anything, she was a grade behind me. It's weirdly upsetting, I imagine this is not where she hoped she would be at age 40.

I moved away from my hometown a long time ago and I don't want to tell people from there about it because (a) it feels crass to be like "hey did you hear that A. got arrested?" and also (b) there is no good reason for me to have googled her. And yes, the reason I did is that she was hot in high school and I wanted to see if she still was. I'm a terrible person.

Anyway, a lot can happen in a life I guess. Be well A., a creepy guy you barely knew 30 years ago is thinking of you and hoping you can find your way back from this.
