Not necessarily evil, but the big point of any scientifical study isn't the result in itself but how, in which context and with which method was that result reached
In other words, it's not what you get but how you calculate it that matters
Only ignorants and college dropouts quote a scientifical paper as if it were some kind of Holy Scripture demonstrating their point once for all, this is especially true in human sciences or in fields where our global knowledge is still lacunary (like quantum physics or such). There are still many mysteries to unveil, science evolves everyday and questions itself everyday - or when it doesn't, it really should...
